Topic: Damage from Seeking Plamas

Hi all,
Do seeking Plama Torpedoes from Romulan Armada do the same damage as plasma bolt ie. 2IMP, 3DMG for each hit?

Thanks,

Re: Damage from Seeking Plamas

No, they attack as a striker flight, so the smallest plasma torpedo would roll 2 dice for the TH, then impact and damage dice as needed.

Re: Damage from Seeking Plamas

And, as regular seekers, they can be reduced by pharsers (only).

Note that, usually, plasma fired as bolts are much better than seeker. You do not lose the plasma (if it hasn't fired yet) if hit during the fire phase, you don't have to wait till the next turn (at least), it can't be reduced, it can't be intercepted or blocked by terrain (what is doing this planet here????)

But if time your approach right, you can have your seekers hitting about the same time as you make your first pass with your recharged plasma bolts.

Re: Damage from Seeking Plamas

Thus you need to fire from very far away, risk to see your enemy move away, and if every goes right, your plasma will be weakened. It seems a bit too tricky to work effectively, but I  may be wrong.

You never go wrong having seeking weapons on the board, they give you opponent something else to complicate his tactical plan.
