Topic: Scenarios for S:NE
Seeing as the Imperial Starmada Sourcebook ships have made their appearance once again, I have decided to make several scenarios about them, using my imagination and info from the original Imperial Starmada Sourcebook. If people like these two, I'll write more.
CLASH OF THE TITANS
The historic and decisive battle of Imperial Fleet Captain Frederic Antimony and his flagship, the Indefatigable against Vilni Harloss and her combined Arcturan Fleet. Antimony is ordered to put a stop to Harloss at any cost, lest the Empire lose their last stronghold in the Polaris County. Harloss knows that the destruction of Antimony's fleet will result in the complete liberation of the Polaris County, vastly improving the strength of the Federation, and making it much harder for the Starmada to hunt her down.
FORCES
Terran Empire: You must beat back Harloss' fleet. Use any and every resource at your command. Losses mean nothing.
Antimony's Fleet consists of: The BB Indefatigable, 2xBB, 2xCV, 3xBC, 3xCR, 3xCL, 4xDD, 6,DE (5024 Points)
Arcturan Federation: Destroy Antimony's fleet without losing too many ships of your own. The Federation cannot afford to lose too many ships, so destroy Antimony and his fleet in the most economical way possible.
Harloss' Fleet consists of: CVBx2, BBx3, CGx2, CAx3, CRx4, DDx5, FFx6 (6645 Points)
SETUP
Set up as for a normal game.
SPECIAL RULES
Whenever an Arcturan Ship becomes crippled, it must immediately activate it's Hyperdrive.
VICTORY
VPs have no relevance in this scenario. Whoever has the last ship on the board wins. Fighters do not count for this.
A NEW FOE
In the Margaux System, during Harloss' frontier campaign, Commodore Celvan Parkes detected a handful of drive signatures. When his hails went unanswered, Parkes ordered an attack on the ships, thinking them to be Arcturan. In reality, these ships were of the Negali, and this battle was the start of a war.
FORCES
Terran Empire: If these mysterious ships are from the Federation, then you shall win a major victory for the Empire. If they are not, then they deserve punishment for infringing on Imperial territory anyway.
Parkes' fleet consists of: 1xCV, 1xCL, 2xDD (1148 Points)
Negali: Who are these aliens who dare to attack your ships? Sadly, you are outgunned, and being a techie as you are, you must embrace the truth: you are going to die. However, if you can get a message off before they destroy you, you will have done your duty.
The Negali forces are: 1xCR (Svirse-Class), 3xDE* (520 Points)
*Historically, there were 3 Survey ships present, but that class has yet to be shown in STARMADA. The DE is a close estimate to this class' capabilities.
SETUP
Set up as for a normal game, with a planet in the middle of the map.
SPECIAL RULES
The Negali Forces may not use their hyperdrives.
VICTORY
Each turn 4, roll one 6-sided die. If the die is a 1 or 2, the Negali win. If it is 3-5, the Negali win on the end of turn 5. If it is a 6, the Negali win on the end of turn 6. If the Terran ships can destroy all the Negali before the turn decided by the die, then they win. If the Negali, by some miracle, destroy all of the Terran ships, they win an outstanding victory (and the Empire a humiliating defeat).
