did the current errata ever get put into the current printings of the books?

Since ADB is POD, do they have the updated version?

If I get copies of KA from MJ12 or ADB, has the latest errata (the sticky at the top) been included into whatever product is being sent out?

Could a sticky be posted at the top for the KLA builder?

Since ADB doesn't do pdf copies, will mj12 be able to do it for KA at all?

Ship Cards, a thought!

First let me say I LOVE THIS GAME and the fact that we actually have a "Trek" kind of official game now for Starmada.
In looking at page 35, The Federation ships listed list two different "Battlecruisers:" The Kirov and New Jersey subtype, each with BCG and BCJ after them. It might be nice on the ship cards to put the (XYX) designation just for clarification when you have multiple types of ships at the top of each card.
Example: FEDERATION BATTLECRUISER (BCG), FEDERATION BATTLECRUISER (BCJ)

This will come in handy when and if the "upgraded" version come into play: (eg Federation Heavy Cruiser variants) CA+, CAR, and versions of already established ships.

The pages with the Federation and Kzinit have those designations.

So far, I love what I see (not that I see it all that is).

There are so many FC ships that can now be converted over...who knows, maybe X ships?

Noted one thing real quick,
Page 47, Federation BattleCruiser. I noted the one on page 47 has no subtype, while the one on page 48 does.  The Kirov and New Jersey types are listed on page 35.

was there suppose to be a name on the pg 47 ship?

Is there a revised proposal (with any modifications from suggestions here)?

Dan,
I see that ADB is selling the basic rulebook, which you can get in loose leaf format.  Are you planning on working a deal to sell the other books as well throught them?? It would be great to get the rules annex in that format..

Since it's going through ADB, I wonder if there will be a pdf

I can see TOS vs TNG ships now....

But,  you could use expanded shield ratings when you have lots of ships against some BIG thing.
Borg cube, Doomsday Machine, etc..

I see the phaser arcs changed, and you added tractor beams.  "shields-total" now just says shields. What else did I miss..

oh, two things:

can I pass anything along to my group that you found useful from our playtest?

Also, will there be any further pt done?  My group stands ready if needed. Thanks.

well, what about Sourcebook one, two, three, etc...

Or, you could quantify:

Sourcebook ONE: Weapons Systems (energy, missle, torpedoe, mass, rail, etc)
Sourcebook TWO: Defense Systems (def sats, shields, armor, deflectors, lima beans)
Sourcebook THREE: Starship Hull designs (cruisers, dreadnoughts, etc.)
Sourcebook Four: Propulsion systems (warp, hyperdrive, jump, infinity, slipstream)
Sourcebook Five: Auxilary systems

You could really expand each one. You could have different types of shields, some that only deflect energy, or some that only affect matter, etc..

You could even put those in one book, then add books with the same sections.

This would be awesome for people who don't have time to figure out stats, but just look up the weapon name to figure out how to do it.

Just a thought, but, with the upcoming KA product, I liked the fact that the weapons stats are actually listed.  Phasers, Photons, etc. If I remember right, way earlier versions of Starmada actually had "weapon super big gun" and then the stats. With all the ways to build weapons and ships...
What about a product that has components already  listed, you just have to pick and choose.

You could create a bunch of ship types, hulls, weapons systems, propulsion systems, etc all with the aim of being able to replicate your favorite universe without having to figure out the stats.
