Well, even if you didn't, I'm back just the same. Been spending the last two weeks travelling across this great country of ours, moving my wife out to Milwaukee of all places -- it's a job-related thing, nothing bad.

I note there are several of you who have been waiting for a reply from me via email, so I thought I'd mention the reason for my delay and that I should be in touch shortly.

Exactly. But how much it is giving up depends upon how many points of your opponent's fleet are tied up in fighters.

If, for example, it's an even split between ships and fighters, then giving up the ability to attack fighters reduces a weapon's effectiveness by 50%. Actually, starship exclusive only becomes cost-effective if the ratio of ships to fighters goes below 2:1.

Well, that's kinda the point.

The trait is used primarily to model genre-specific weapons (e.g. Starmada: Dreadnoughts) and its utility varies greatly depending upon the prevalence of fighters in your games.

As always, remember that the options are all intended as "take 'em or leave 'em" -- if starship exclusive doesn't work for your group, you should have no heartburn about leaving it out.

With the switch to our new web host, we've taken the opportunity to make some improvements to our web pages. In particular, you can now add PDF downloads to your shopping cart, instead of having to make a separate transaction for each file.

This also means that when you download a PDF from us, you'll still have access to the file later, if/when it is updated.

Sweet, huh?

I'll try to give a thorough rundown of upcoming products soon. But in response to specific questions:

* Starmada Brigade: really, this is up to the guys at Brigade Models. I've made my interest known.

* The Sovereign Stars: the poor reception given to the playtest pack made me shelve this for a bit. I am still very interested in working on it.

* ARES: Honestly, I wanted to work on this, but it never really made it to the front burner. Maybe I'll have a chat with Kevin.

* Tsar & Emperor: I'm hoping a combined GF/GA scenario pack will see the light of day first quarter 2011.

Frankly, it's been an interesting 18 months in my personal life, which has drained some of the time and energy I had available for game design/publishing. If only y'all would buy more stuff so I could make this my day job. smile
