OSX is better than your XP/Vista, I have a network with stuff attached and only mac can do it easily.

I was trying to say IT DOSE NOT MATTER WHAT YOU USE!!!!

I will say this I have a very simple setup (4pc 1 is my file server, and 2 laptops) at home using windows XP (with stuff attached) and it was easy to do. And if you want to pay a crap load of money for a computer that fine with me.

You can not show me a Win/Linux user any thing I can not do that Mac can do.

Oh and you PC users want a laugh read this post from CSO online.

PS did you know that most NAS drives spin all the time! Did you know that non SCSI that spin 24/7 cut there life in half. I would not keep my files on a NAS.

Well,
I have to chime in here. I am a PC user, and do not see the need to buy into Apple. As a war gamer all the stuff I need is for windows, and ether cheap or free. I also can pick up a cheap computer and make it a power PC for next to nothing. I have not see a blue screen of death in years and have 4 PCs, and 2 laptops running M$ xp.

I also dual boot my PCs with Linux, this gives me the best of two world.

Now when people ask me what they should buy (I am a PC tech) I add Mac to my list for people to consider now that M$ came out with Vista (crap).

So this is like a race issue here, and one should not mock the other for there choice on computer. It's all about users getting the computer that works for them. For me Windows XP, and Freespire Linux work for me. And between the two OSs I have every program I need.

But you Mac users need to back down. Mac is the next system on the bloc and has been hacked so do not for one second think you are safe. And when the time comes (very soon now) Mac will not be ready for it. This is due in part to the snobby attitude of Apple, and it users.

Fact: no computer, or OS is 100% safe from attack. If you believe your system is safe you are a fool.

HI All,
If you are working on a new version of FTM here is 1 idea for you.
I have 4 fantasy rules sets and I mostly play Chipco's fantasy rules, the reason I mostly play these rules is they have 50 plus army lists. I like the FTM rules very much, but I feel you need to include more army list. I feel by including more army lists it will make it more atractive to gamers.

I do know you can creat your own list but who has time for that.

I am working on a system map for the Ripple system. This is a system ware all armies from all rules sets can exist together. I am using a tool called AstroSynthesis from NBOS.com. I am having fun playing with this tool. I am going to up load the system file for you to look at. You will need the AstroSynthesis trial verson to read this file.

What I am looking for is a list of armies to give a home to in the system.

For the story line in the Center is a lagre space station that pulls ships out of warp/ jump to this system. once here there is no getting out. But the system can get bigger. There are 13 systems that are populated and 8 that can be. This space station was created by an older rase that has died off and left it trap in place. Serounding the station is 3 rings of junk space ships left to rot. Some never make it past the center of this system. Most pick through the junk to gather tech thay dont have and build better ships to find a home in this system.

I very much like this idea of intergrading Warzone troops into Defiance. But I would also like to see other game systems army list make it here as well, and on the same page so-ta-speak.

What I am talking about is say the brother hood taking on the Eldar, Space marines taking on the Dark legion forces. To make all of this fly I am thinking on a Star system that can accommodate this witch can not be.
A ripple in time, a system that findes it self at the center of this ripple in time. A system that has one way links to other systems, and places in time. A system that sucks you in but dose not let you out. A system ware the armies I mentioned above can be.

Ok! OK! Yes I am a Geek, and yes I work in IT.

Ok I have played with 1/72 1/76 scale figures. and this is how we played them- we used 15mm rules but when it came to measurement we took the 25/28mm measurement and divieded it in half. That is very clost to the Defiance way.
I have a ton of 1/72 US troops I am willing to sell if you are interested.

I have 2 tanks and 1 VTOL from FroceXXI. I was going to place a another order with him but the owner went on deployment with the US army I think.
But for somr of the conversion armies I am looking into WWI tanks. With some light conversions to them I feel they will look cool.

I printed out the Army lists today and the thugs are dead on excpt the dog things. I will probley wack the dogs add MegAroured troops and mixin some looted tanks. This should fill it out nicely. I do have a question regarding and onld ork weapon called a squig catapult. Do you know what i am talking about and if so could this weapon be created in the D-rules.
If you need more info on this weapon i will provide it.

Hi All,
I am working on a conversion of armies and could use some idead. First off let me tell you what I am working on. I have all but given up on 28mm and went down the 15mm fantasy road (witch brought me to MJ12 in the first place), and found some very nice 15mm Scifi stuff. So I met a guy in NJ to play 15mm Fantasy and he showed me his MJ space marines, and orks. I was hooked at this point. So I place an opred for over 100 15mm orks from MJ miniatures. Now I have some Peter Pig 15mm and was not happy with them but neded something to paint while I wated for the orks to come. So the Peter Pig sutff looked like TAU so thats how I painted them up. So I have Space Marines, Orks and TAU to start converting to the Defiance rules.

I don't think I will need more that just defining the armies, comming up with the TL, SR, TR, and frame.

My thoughts on the orks are this are they TL3 or are they TL2? And can Tec level 2, and 3 play together?
