what is the difference between iron stars, and SIS?
also, I have starmada, brigade, would I need to upgrade to get and use the starmada, ironstars version? does the starmada version come with the cool trifold iron stars ships?
thanks for the info...

Howdy, Got Wardogs a week ago or so, good stuff, jsut some quick questions on the hows and whys if you dont mind:-)
1) Why go with thermal sig? I read the post about using steam meks and you stating about the photo guy who used infrared, but realistically combat hasnt really used thermal for more than night fighting? if playing like Gear Krieg type game with WWII units and mecha, wouldn't size or something else work better than thermal sig? I seen in that same post that you can use the melee rules or a variation for ranged combat also, but I figured the inherent pts cost is based off of themal sig for TNs.
2) Why do inf have ammo for basic weapons? I can understand HVY weapons and special, but just infantry with asslt rifles and the like seems like they would run out of ammo FAST. (not that they live long mind you, hehe)
3) How fast IS combat? seems like stuff can die fast, but havnt been able to play or test play yet, just wondering by using the meks in the book and looking at their weapon loadouts and ammo, seems like ammo trucks would be EVERYWHERE, lol. Is combat fast and furrious so to say? Gets over quick when stuff connects? Just wondering how the game works when you actually play, lol, osmething I havnt had a chance to do yet, thanks in advance:-)
Ok, that is all I have for now, lol. Great game, lots of cool ideas and many directions to go with it...looking forward to more info on the setting and rules as this seems a GREAT base to build off of. Thanks for a great game.

:-)
it was ME ME ME who wrote that on TMP. Been out of the MJ12 loop for awhile, just found this site again, lol. where better than the home forum for good info eh...
so does wardogs do heavy gears as written? fast agile meks, animaish? apparently it does big lumbering BT style meks, just wondering how it fares with those, as they are a bit different styling and usage.
or just different frame styles and options?
thanks for any info:-)
so does the printed version have the errata updated in it?
I just havnt gotten around to printing the PDF yet,hehe...;-)
thanks again...

Hiya:-)
I just got an email from RPGnow to redownload D:VG, when I did, the only chnages I could see is the origins nomination on the cover....the edition2.04 looked the same...is the book updated with all the changes/error fixes? I think there were some minor ones I remmber reading about...
just wondering
thanks for a great product:-)
I also noticed the M-16 numbers seemed funny....was gonna ask about that, hehe
"DANGER WILL ROBINSON!! LOTS OF MATH IN POST!!! DANGER!!!!!!!!!
hey, you guyz love what you do and its effective,hehe...better than games where they pull numbers out of thin air and call it "ballanced",hehe.... 8)
how about a "phase movment"....basically like the warp spiders from 40k, since there is no way to do this now, terrain would make no difference where you move.
PM'd
thnx for the advice and help everyone...

I like it
or even WWII german panzergrenadiers taking on space marines or modern US forces taking on orcs,hehe....
with the point system it should all balance out. Or being the Universal Skirmish System you can just make your own world/universe and make it as messed up as you want,hehe.....
this has alot of potential and should be fun, I know I would like to see other peoples armys/ideas also...if I make a space marine list and play someone who made thier own, maybe my bolter is more powerful than his but he has better armor for example...with the points system it should all equal out in the end

I am thinking of using 1/72 scale moder or WWII minis to play with, and was wondering what scale to use, the 25-28mm scale or 15mm and under, both are in the book and was wondering which would work best, and any thoughts people had on using them...
there is a LARGE variety of infantry and vees available and most are cheap(a great consideration considering the cost of plastic minis versus metal, though I do like metal)..
also, I see there are some ultra-modern/modern weapons conversions in the book, are there anymore out there that those guys used when comming up with the ultra-modern rules? just wondering..
thnx
-Franz
I like that you can read the sections you want, instead of getting posts/emails on games I currently dont play, not that I mind getting the other emails, etc
